The national Amateur Athletics Association

The National Amateur Athletics association is the governing body for athletics in Trinidad and Tobago and they have out a full listing of all the events they have for 2010. In this list every month is covered with activities. There is development meets here the various athletics skills is encouraged and showcased to discover and show what we got in various disciplines. Beside that I am happy to see various clubs, groups are up there on the list having meets or games… think about the Morvant Jets and Alvin Daniel Games just to name two or the NAAA Multi Events Championships….
I think this list and if it could be executed is just what the doctor ordered for Trinidad athletics at this time.

I see this need a strong marketing plan and serious funding from the corporate bodies to make it work.
Because I only heard about this in February when Nikosi Mc Leish gave me a call from the Mannie Ramjohn stadiuim asking me if I knew about it and if I coming down.
So here we go… great ideas must have equally good and innovative ways of bringing them out…. There is twitter, Facebook, free blogs, podcasting etc….. All virtually free…. Together with tradional media….. this thing could get some where… Like when Nikosi was going to the Mannie ramjohn event on Facebook he could have posted, “On my way to NAAA development Meet at Mannie Ramjohn stadium” and that would of alerted quite a number of people…. And that is just one little way…

But nough time for that and let do our part to get all the pieces of the puzzle together and support the NAAA as they finally seem to be getting the stuff right.

Good going to Ephraim Serrette and his team

here is a link to the list of events for 2010. Click here
